Church and State

Description

On the brink on an apocalypse, the church didn’t have the muscle, and the military didn’t have the know-how, but together, they managed to subvert the end of the world. Thus the Church and State or CaS Agency was formed. Over the next eight years, CaS has hunted werewolves, vampires, and other manner of supernatural beings throughout the United States. In the Fall of 2020, they are tested as a cabal of demon worshiping cults worked to summon their dark gods to our world. While the CaS agency came out on top, it was not a total success as powerful demons, the likes of which haven’t been seen since their founding are now back on earth. Now Evelyn Pierce, a former police detective and newest recruit of the agency is being called into the field to help deal with the aftermath of these summonings. As the likelihood of demonic infiltration grows, are her burgeoning empathic abilities enough to distinguish friend from foe as her circle of trust gets smaller. Meanwhile in the shadows, a man known as D’vil also works to thwart the demonic threat. But are his motives altruistic, or more dastardly than the demons themselves. To Evelyn, is the enemy of her enemy truly her friend when they refuse to step into the light, or is he simply the devil on her shoulder tempting her into darkness.
