Description
Gilbert is a very cranky capybara. He has a hard time making friends, and is nervous that any friend wouldn’t let him be who he truly is. However, one day he meets a persistent and cheerful caiman named Nigel, who teaches him about true friendship. Will Gilbert allow himself to be cranky and friendly? This delightfully illustrated book is by husband and wife team Thomas and Amanda Lamkin. Thomas and Amanda live with their four children in Louisville on a farm that, unfortunately, does not yet include a capybara but does include a lot of laughter, a lot of love, and occasional crankiness.
